special unit known as kitot konenut or a Rapid Response Unit of armed self-defense volunteer fighters. All volunteer members are former soldiers of the I.D.F. and many members of the unit bring years of experience of serving with the special forces to Jerusalem Shield, thus making them a real deterrent in the event of a terror attack on Jerusalem.
Since October 7th, many similar units across the country were created and they all operate in conjunction with the police and the army in their specific territories.

Main focus of operations is in the Jerusalem’s City Centre district or from the entrance of the city to Jaffa, King George and Agmon streets.
Thanks to generous donations from Jewish people all over the world, Jerusalem Sheilds fighters are fully equipped and armed with the latest and the best equipment.

Some of the personal protective equipment that the fighters have includes body armor, new generation helmets and video cams. The unit is a fully functional fighting force that uses thermal drones as well as a secure communication center located in the Headquarters of the Jerusalem Shield that can reach all of the units in the field of combat.
